“New French music – Fauré, Debussy, Ravel” concert
Sunday, 23 April, 2017 | at 4pm
By Ryutaro Suzuki
The programme of this concert, made up of “impressions” and “inspirations”, and filled with all sorts of colours, will enable viewers to get a feel for the France of the late 19th century and Impressionism. Indeed, it will feature mostly French works composed during the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist periods. It is performed by Ryutaro Suzuki, the talented young Japanese pianist who arrived in Europe in 2008. This is the first time that he has played a recital made up almost entirely of French music, an ambition he has been nurturing for a lot time.
