This volume is co-published by Editions Gallimard on the occasion of the exhibition "Manguin, the Joy of Colour", organized by the musée des impressionnismes Giverny, in collaboration with the Fondation de l'Hermitage, and presented from July 14 to November 5, 2017 in Giverny, and from June 22 to October 28, 2018 in Lausanne. With almost 100 paintings, watercolours and drawings, supplemented by a large selection of archive documents and photographs, this catalogue enables readers to rediscover the art of one of the greatest Fauve painters, from his years of training at the turn of century to the First World War.
