Étretat in 3D
(Tuesday, 9 July and Thursday, 11 July, at 2:30pm)
Create a pop-up card inspired by the cliffs of Étretat, a landscape that inspired both Claude Monet and Jean Francis Auburtin.
After a short visit where you will be able to admire paintings by these two artists, you will learn how to make a pop-up card. You will use scissors, glue, a bit of drawing and a lot of colours.
A landscape by magic
(Firday, 12 July, at 2:30pm)
Combine the motifs of Claude Monet and Jean Francis Auburtin using an optical illusion!
After getting to know the beautiful seascapes painted by these two artists, you will make a thaumatrope inspired by their work. A thaumatrope is an optical toy made of two images glued back to back. When they are twirled quickly, the two images blend into a third one, as if by magic!
