Attend the exceptional conference of the architect Philippe Robert (French only)

A great architectural adventure : the Musée des impressionnismes Giverny

During this conference, Philippe Robert will discuss his interviews and visits with Daniel Terra, collector and patron, sponsor of the project, as well as the atypical way of conceiving such a project, without a program or a provisional budget.

Half-buried and completely covered with plantations, this innovative architecture reduces the visual impact of the future museum, in the context of a village made up of houses surrounded by gardens. Three large rooms of different heights and proportions accommodate the works, in natural light supplemented by small projectors. The whole is part of the site by the landscape composition with different atmospheres: enclosed gardens, meadow, alignment trees…

Plans and models will be exhibited during the conference, including the detailed plan of the garden, with the names of all the plantations chosen by Florence Robert, landscaper at Reichen et Robert, architects of the museum.

Speaker:

Philippe Robert trained in architecture in Paris, before creating the international architecture and urban planning firm Reichen & Robert in 1970. She notably designed the Arsenal pavilion in Paris, the French embassy in Qatar, and the Giverny museum of impressionism.
